Crude price up in Asia

Crude was up in Asia today on signs that oil demand is picking up in the United States, the world's largest consumer of the commodity. New York's main contract rose 66 cents to 97.31 dollar a barrel and Brent North Sea crude gained 57 cents to 114.19 dollar.

Rupee gains 14 paise against US dollar
