Flood waters inundate 1066 villages affecting 3 lakh people in Assam

In Assam, One thousand and 66 villages have been inundated by flood waters in 11 districts affecting nearly three lakh people. Official sources in Guwahati said that 385 villages submerged in worst hit Dhemaji district. 37 thousand hectare of crop has also been affected by surging water.
