New US Ambassador to Syria

President Obama has appointed an US Ambassador to Syria for the first time in nearly six years by-passing objections in the US Senate. The new ambassador is Robert Ford, considered one of the foremost Arab experts in the US Department. His appointment had been blocked by Republican Party Senators.
