Danish and Swedish Police arrest five Islamic militants

Police in Denmark and Sweden have arrested five Islamist militants suspected of planning what the authorities described as the Mumbai-style attack designed to kill as many people as possible. Danish intelligence agency said, their target was JYLLANDS-POSTEN newspaper which had printed caricatures of Prophet Mohammed five years ago. The Danish security service said, three of the men had entered from Sweden during the night. Several of them appeared to be militants with international terror networks. Danish Justice Minister described the plot as terrifying, probably the most serious attempt in the country. A spokesman for the Muslim Council of Denmark called the revelation of the latest plot extremely worrying.
