Rupee depreciate by 6 paise against dollar

The rupee depreciated by 6 paise to trade at Rs 46.82 per dollar on the forex market in early today. It had ended steady at Rs 46.76 on Friday. Dealers said dollar strengthened against major world currencies in global markets, which also weighed on the rupee.

Gold prices jumps Rs 160

Gold prices jumped 160 rupees, to 18,760 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today. Silver ready rose 200 rupees, to 29,300 rupees per kilo.In the international market, gold gained 3.7 dollars, to 1,217.60 dollars an ounce.
