Oil prices was down in Asian trade on Monday. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for July delivery, lost 95 cents to 99.15 USD a barrel. Brent North Sea crude for July delivery dipped 70 cents to 111.69 USD.

The Indian rupee depreciated by 20 paise to Rs 45.21 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday. The rupee had ended 4 paise lower at Rs 45.02 against the American currency in the previous session.

The Indian rupee on Friday lost four paise to close at 45.01 against the US dollar. Rupee lost on late demand from importers for the US currency which gained in the global markets as well.

Oil prices rebounded in Asian trade today after Thursday's sharp fall in prices. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for July delivery, advanced 38 cents to 99.31 USD a barrel, while Brent North Sea crude for July delivery gained 13 cents to 111.55 USD.
