Women's Hockey: Indian eves thrash Spain 4-1 in last encounter to level five-match series 2-2

The Indian women's hockey team thrashed hosts Spain 4-1 in the fifth and final match to level the series 2-2. In the final match in Madrid, last night, skipper Rani Rampal and defender Gurjit Kaur scored two goals each.  Spain's consolation goal came through Lola Riera in the 58th minute, after India had secured a comfortable 4-0 lead. The second game between the two sides had finished in a 1-1 draw.

Indian women's Hockey team will face Spain in the third game of the five-match series in Madrid today. The match will begin at 11 PM (Indian Standard Time).     Outclassed 0-3 in the opening game on Tuesday, India recovered well to produce a gritty show and played a 1-1 draw against the hosts in the second game yesterday. Women's hockey: Spain beat India by 3-0 in the opening game

The Indian Women's Hockey team lost its opening game of the five-match bilateral series against Spain, 0-3 in Madrid last night. The Indian eves put up a spirited performance but failed to recover from Carlota Petchame's early strike.
