The Indian women's hockey team thrashed hosts Spain 4-1 in the fifth and final match to level the series 2-2. In the final match in Madrid, last night, skipper Rani Rampal and defender Gurjit Kaur scored two goals each. 

Spain's consolation goal came through Lola Riera in the 58th minute, after India had secured a comfortable 4-0 lead. The second game between the two sides had finished in a 1-1 draw.
