Women's Hockey: Rani strike helps India beat Great Britain 1-0

In Women's Hockey, skipper Rani Rampal struck the solitary goal as the Indian team recorded a 1-0 win over Great Britain in its fourth match of the ongoing tour in Auckland today. Rani scored the goal in the 47 minutes to give India the lead and eventually seal the match.  After winning their opening match of the tour against the hosts' development squad, India had suffered two-back-to-back losses to New Zealand.

Indian women hockey team beat Ireland 2-1 in U21 4-nation tourney

The Indian Women's Hockey team came from a goal down to beat Ireland 2-1 and register its second win at the Cantor Fitzgerald Under-21 International four-nation tournament at Dublin yesterday. Laura Foley gave Ireland the lead in the 10th minute before India scored through Reet in the 35th and Sharmila Devi in the 53rd minute. India will play Scotland in their next match tomorrow.

Women's Hockey: India to take on Malaysia in 2nd match at Kuala Lumpur

Indian women's hockey team will take on hosts Malaysia in the second game of the five-match series in Kuala Lumpur today. The match will start at 3.30 PM Indian time. Earlier, India beat Malaysia 3-0 in the opening game on Thursday. The third match will be played on Monday. Indian women's hockey team draw 1-1 with Ireland

Indian women's hockey team today drew with Ireland in the opening friendly match at Murcia in Spain. India to take on England in opening match of Women's Hockey World Cup tomorrow

India will take on hosts England in the opening match of the Women's Hockey World Cup in London tomorrow.  Grouped in Pool B, India will take on world number 16 Ireland on the 26th of this month followed by world number 7, US on 29th. India's previous appearance at the World Cup was in 2010 when the event was held in Argentina.

The Indian Junior Women's Hockey team registered its third consecutive win at the Under-23 six-nation tournament at Antwerp, Belgium last night.
