International Women's Day is celebrated on 8th of March. All India Radio News honors Women Achievers from diverse fields by bringing their stories. 105 year old Pappamal also known as R. Rangama from the Thekkampatti village of Tamil Nadu was conferred the Padma Shri this year for her work in organic farming for more than seven decades now. She started farming in her late 30's.
