Women’s Day Special: NCW launches first-ever online national training programme of Empowering Women through Entrepreneurship in Leh

<span style="color: #222222;">Ahead of International Women's Day, the National Commission for Women has launched a first-ever online national training programme of Empowering Women through Entrepreneurship in Leh, today.<br />”<br />”The programme is organised in collaboration with IIM Bangalore, India SME Forum and the UT Administration of Ladakh. On the occasion, the 3rd Phase of digital literacy programme &quot;We Think Digital: Digital Shakti 3.0&quot;, is also launched.<br />”<br />”Speaking on the occasion, Ladakh Lieutenant Governor R. K. Mathur said, gender inequality is an economic challenge for the country. Mr Mathur said, women participation in work force and economic activity leads to a measurable impact on society and national building. He thanked the NCW for choosing Ladakh to launch a national programme for women empowerment.<br />”<br />”Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal appealed UT Administration and NCW to constitute Women Commission to address issues.<br />”<br />”NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma said during the training, tapping the entrepreneurship in the women and provide skills to execute and expand their business plans. Members and officials of NCW, &nbsp;Advisor Umang Narula and women representatives from Ladakh are present in the launch programme.</span><br />
