In global equity markets, Asia Pacific ended lower today.
So, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 1.3 percent; Singapore's Straits Times index dropped 1 percent and South Korea's Kospi index fell 0.7 percent.
Stock markers in Japan and China were closed for a holiday, today.
In Europe, France's CAC-40 had risen 0.6 percent and Germany's DAX had climbed 0.8 percent in intra-day trade.
Stocks markets in UK were closed for a holiday.
Brent crude oil dropped towards 66 dollars a barrel today, as concern about demand in India and higher OPEC supply offset optimism over a strong demand rebound in countries including the United States and China.
So, Brent crude fell 35 cents, to trade at 66.41 dollars a barrel. US crude futures dropped 27 cents, to 63.31 dollars a barrel.
Back Home, gold advanced Rs. 310, to Rs. 46,580 per 10 grams at Delhi's bullion market. Silver jumped Rs. 580, to Rs. 67,429 per kilo.
In the international market, gold was trading with gains at 1,777 dollars per ounce and silver gained marginally to 26.06 dollars per ounce.
