Global equity markets, Asia Pacific end mixed

In global equity markets, Asia Pacific ended mixed today.   So, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index climbed 0.7 percent, South Korea's Kospi index rose 0.6 percent but Singapore's Straits Times index fell 0.2 percent.   Stock markets in Japan and China were closed for a holiday.   In Europe, London's FTSE-100 had gained 0.1 percent but France's CAC-40 had fallen 0.3 percent and Germany's DAX had declined 1.4 percent, in intra-day trade.

Global equity markets, Asia Pacific end lower

In global equity markets, Asia Pacific ended lower today.   So, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 1.3 percent; Singapore's Straits Times index dropped 1 percent and South Korea's Kospi index fell 0.7 percent.   Stock markers in Japan and China were closed for a holiday, today.   In Europe, France's CAC-40 had risen 0.6 percent and Germany's DAX had climbed 0.8 percent in intra-day trade.   Stocks markets in UK were closed for a holiday.   Brent cru...
