Rains hamper normal life in Uttarakhand

Heavy rain hampered normal life in Chamolee district of Uttarakhand. According to reports, four small bridges have been damaged in Narain Bagad block. Five houses have also been destroyed in Deval block of the district. Met department predicts more rain in 24 hours.

Curfew lifted in Srinagar; continues in Ananatnag

In Kashmir Valley, authorities today lifted curfew from Srinagar city. The separatists have also relaxed the protest for a day. In most of parts of the valley, shops and business establishments are open and public transport is plying. However, curfew is continuing in Anantnag town.
