Gold prices fell 110 rupees, to 18,340 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, on Thursday. Silver ready dropped 350 rupees, to 28,950 rupees per kilo.In the overseas markets, gold fell one percent, to 1,182.35 dollars an ounce.

Oil prices rose towards 71 USD a barrel in Asian trade today.New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in June, gained 1.09 USD to 70.96 USD a barrel. The contract will expire later today.Brent North Sea crude for July delivery was up 37 cents to 74.06 US Dollars.

The Indian rupee appreciated by 13 paise to 46.23 per dollar in the opening trade today on fresh capital inflow into equities by foreign funds. On Wednesday's trading, the rupee had closed at a three-month low of 46.37 against the dollar.
