Rupee depreciates by 7 paise

The rupee today depreciated by 7 paise to 46.23 against the dollar in early trade at the Inter-bank Foreign Exchange market. It had settled at 46.16/17 a dollar in the previous session. According to dealers, firming dollar against other currencies put pressure on the rupee.
