Rupee gains 14 paise to 55.09 against dollar

The rupee today gained 14 paise to 55 rupees 09 paise against the dollar in early trade on selling of the US currency by exporters and banks. The domestic currency had lost 16 paise to close yesterday at nearly six-week low of 55 rupees 23 paise against the dollar.
