Indian U-16 football team go down 1-3 to Thailand in Four-Nation Youth Tournament

In football, the Indian Under-16 team lost 1-3 to Thailand in the Four-Nation Hua Shan Cup CFA International Youth Football Tournament in Wei Nan City, China, today.  The Indian colts started the match on an attacking note. However, Thailand surged into lead in the 41st minute.  India restored parity in the 48th minute to make it 1-1. However, they conceded two late goals to Thailand.   The Indian Under -16 team face South Korea next in their final match of the tournament on Saturday.

India to face Thailand in four-nation youth football tournament tomorrow

After losing narrowly to China, the Indian U-16 football team will now lock horns with Thailand tomorrow in the four-nation Hua Shan Cup CFA International Youth Football Tournament in Wei Nan City, China.  The invitational four-nation tournament is a part of an exposure tour for the young Indian team ahead of the upcoming AFC U-16 Finals slated to be held in Kuala Lumpur in September. Yesterday, India U-16 team went down fighting by a solitary goal to U-17 China national team.

India U-16 football team lifts Jockey Cup

India Under-16 team have won the Jockey Cup International Youth Invitational Football Tournament title.  In the final in Hong Kong today, they defeated the hosts by 4-2.     For India, Bekey Oram netted twice in the first half.    The other two goals came through Rohit Danu and Lalrokima in the second session.   This was India's third consecutive victory in as many days.
