More than 680 lakh metric tons of paddy procured during ongoing Kharif marketing season

Over 680 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in the ongoing Kharif Marketing Season this year. This is an increase of around 14 per cent against the corresponding purchase last year.  Out of the total purchase, Punjab alone has contributed 29.79 percent of total procurement.
