Over 680 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in the ongoing Kharif Marketing Season this year. This is an increase of around 14 per cent against the corresponding purchase last year.  Out of the total purchase, Punjab alone has contributed 29.79 percent of total procurement. Over 99 Lakh farmers have already benefitted from the ongoing Kharif marketing season procurement Operations with MSP value of over 1 lakh 28 thousand Crore rupees.

Over 3 lakh Metric tonnes of Pulses and Oilseeds have been procured under Kharif 2020-21 & Rabi 2021. Over 91 lakh cotton bales valuing over 26 thousand Crore rupees has also been procured. This has benefitted nearly 19 lakh farmers.
