Gold prices rose 158 rupees to 50,980 rupees per 10 gram in the Delhi bullion market. Silver also gained 697 rupees to 62,043 rupees per kilogram.
In intra-day trade, Brent crude prices were trading around 41 dollars per barrel while WTI crude prices were around 38 dollars and 80 cents per barrel.
