The Dow and the S&P 500 indexes rose more than one and half percent while the Nasdaq climbed more than two percent on Tuesday. The US indices log strong earnings while beaten-down big technology stocks bounced back from an Omicron-driven rout in the previous session.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 1.6 percent, the S&P 500 rose 1.8 percent and the Nasdaq Composite index jumped 2.4 percent.
