Moderate earthquake hits Sumatra Island

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck off the northern Island of Sumatra, in Indonesia. No Tsunami warning was issued. The quake struck at a depth of 52 kilometers southeast of Banda Aceh, near the site of the December 2004 devastating quake that triggered the Asian Tsunami.
