Sensex zooms 521 points

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained a mammoth 521 points, or 1.9 percent, to end at 28,051, today. Buying was seen across the board. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange surged 158 points, to 8,678.

Sensex drops over 125 points in afternoon trade

The Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange is trading in red and was down by about 118 points at 27,555 a short while ago. Similarly the Nifty at National Stock Exchange was down by about 55 points at 8,527. The rupee was down by 8 paise to 66.77 against the dollar.
