Rupee up by 18 paise against US dollar

The Indian rupee appreciated by 18 paise to 44.41 rupees against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday. It had closed at 44.59 rupees against the greenback in the previous session. Dealers said the strengthening of rupee was supported by capital inflows and the higher opening in the stock market.
