Oil higher in Asian trade

Oil was higher in Asian trade today. New York's main contract, West Texas Intermediate crude for delivery in July, was up 49 cents to 84.78 dollars per barrel while Brent North Sea crude for July gained 42 cents to 99.26 dollars in morning.
