Visiting President of South Africa, Mr. Jacob Zuma today said that South Africa aims to encourage collaborative partnerships with Indian business community. President Zuma was addressing the Indian and South African business leaders in Mumbai after the re-launch of the India- South Africa CEO Forum. <br/><br/>On this occasion, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Anand Sharma and his South African counterpart Dr. Rob Davies along with Co-Chairmen of the India- South Africa CEO Forum, Ratan Tata and Patrice Motsepe were present. The special business interaction was chaired by Confederation of Indian Industry – CII President, Mr. Hari Bhartia and Business Unity South Africa – BUSA President Ms. Futhi Mtoba. <br/><br/>President Zuma said that South Africa has great economic potential which is clearly evident in its sectoral diversity. He invited Indian companies to expand their business in the fields of mining, aerospace, auto, energy, environment, transport and infrastructure. <br/><br/>He added that South Africa would ensure mutual productive and profitable experience to all Indian investors and traders. He said that South Africa identifies India as its strategic partner for good reasons like its sustained economic growth. <br/><br/>Mr. Anand Sharma informed that India is South Africa's largest trading partner in South and South-East Asia. He said that bilateral trade has crossed 7 billion US dollars in 2008-09 and is expected to touch 10 billion US dollars by 2012. Describing South Africa as the land of tremendous opportunities, Ratan Tata said that India was looking forward towards developing new and long lasting relationship with the South African community.<br/><br/>On the other hand, his South African counterpart Patrice Motsepe described India as a home away from home. He said that the CEO Forum will work with renewed energy towards realizing the full business potential of the two countries.
