A three-day national workshop on mainstreaming coastal and marine biodiversity of India organised by the Zoological Survey of India began at the ZSI Regional Centre in Port Blair today.<br/><br/>Inaugurating the workshop, Ajay Narayan Jha, secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change highlighted the need for India to become a global leader in knowledge related to coastal and marine biodiversity.<br/><br/><br/>He also said the traditional knowledge base can be used to preserve the bio-diversity.<br/><br/>The national workshop will conclude on Saturday.
