In Jammu and Kashmir, for the first time in the history of Education the Village Committees from all the villages of Sankoo Zone has constituted a Zonal Body named Block Level Educational Development Committee, Tehsil Sankoo. <br/><br/>This was revealed in the first meeting of the committee with the Representatives of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil. <br/><br/>The main objective of the committee is to make the basic education compulsory and to create awreness and look after the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme of the Government.
