Senior Zee Group editors arrested in alleged extortion case filed by Jindal Group have been sent to 2-day police custody by a Delhi court. Head of Zee News Sudhir Chaudhary and head of Zee Business Samir Ahluwalia were arrested last night on the complaint by Jindal's company filed in October.

ZEE news CEO Alok Agrawal has denied allegations of attempt to extort 100 crore rupees from Jindal Power and Steel Ltd for not airing news reports linking the company to the coal block allocation scam.

The Jindal group said in a statement that the law is taking its own course.
