The National Commission for Women (NCW) has written to the Maharashtra DGP and the ethics officer of Vistara Airlines over an allegation that Dangal actress Zahira Wasim was molested on board a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. In a letter, the NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma said, the Commission had taken cognizance of media reports regarding the incident and it expects action in the matter. She said, the Commission is seriously concerned about the incident. She asked the Maharashtra DGP to ensure fair and speedy investigation into the matter and take action and apprise the Commission about it. The NCW chief asked the Vistara officer to give a satisfactory explanation to the commission on the matter within 24 hours, failing which it will be compelled to take action.
