India's floundering campaign in the on-going cricket series against England suffered another massive blow today as pace spearhead Zaheer Khan was ruled out of the remainder of the tour. The bowler has failed to recover from a hamstring strain and an ankle injury. According to a BCCI statement, the 32-year old pacer will require a surgery for his ankle, which will rule him out until November. Medium pacer R P Singh has been called to replace Zaheer in the Test, ODI and the Twenty20 squads.R.P. Singh's last Test appearance for India was in 2008 against South Africa. Singh will be available for the third Test match beginning at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
