In Tennis, India's Yuki Bhambri has stunned world number 22 Gael Monfils of France to reach the pre-quarterfinals of the Washington Open in the United States. In a second round match last night, Bhambri, ranked 200, got the better of sixth seed and defending champion Monfils, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 to make it to the Round-of-16. Bhambri will next meet Guido Pella of Argentina for a place in the quarterfinals. Pella had defeated Ramkumar Ramanathan in the opening round.In the Doubles, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna, with their team-mates, progressed to the quarterfinals. Sania and her Romanian partner Monica Niculescu are the top seeds in Women's Doubles, while Bopanna pairing with American Donald Young are unseeded in the Men's section.
