Indian teenager Yuki Bhambri has advanced to the second round of the US Open men's singles qualifying event. In the first round of the hard court Grand Slam tournament in New York yesterday, he ousted eighth seed Horacio Zeballos of Argentina in three sets 4-6 6-3 7-6. Yuki will next take on Belgium's Maxime Authom, ranked 193, just two places above the Indian in the next round.Authom had beaten Matteo Viola of Italy 6-2 6-4 in his opening round match.Yuki needs to win two more matches to grab one of the 16 main draw spots available through the qualifiers.
