YSR plane crash: CBI rules out foul play

The Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) has ruled out any conspiracy or sabotage in the helicopter crash in which former Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and four others were killed in Kurnool district on September 2nd last year. The premier investigation agency has reportedly submitted a report to the state Government yesterday to this affect. <br/>The CBI, which carried out a detailed probe said in its report that the chopper crash was an accident and could have been averted had the pilots decided to terminate the journey in view of adverse weather conditions. On the State Government request, the CBI took up the probe after registering a preliminary inquiry in Hyderabad on September 11.<br/>
