Youth of the nation has talent and competence: President Pranab Mukherjee

President Pranab Mukherjee has said that youth of the nation has talent and competence and start up movement will create an ambience and atmosphere for them. Interacting with entrepreneurs and venture capitalists of Silicon Valley in Rashtrapati Bhavan Friday, Mr Mukherjee said, Indian youth have a strong desire and aspiration and it is their unique selling proposition. <br/><br/>He said, innovation, research and development are key to success. The President said, to become super power, a nation needs modern and latest technology. He said, it is the responsibility of the government to create appropriate policy environment to encourage entrepreneurship but it has taken too long for India. Mr Mukherjee said, he cannot pass on the buck to anybody and has to take it himself as he was in the administration for a long time. <br/><br/>He said, India needs to grow at the rate of 10 per cent over next 10-15 years to bring the country out of poverty line and to give minimum requirement of civilised life – education, health, infrastructure and job. The President also stressed on cross-fertilization of intellectual mindset. He said, many national institutions were not able to find space in the international rankings but last year two institutes found the place. He said, there is no dearth of good talent and appropriate environment can bring out the best in them.
