<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi said history has been created on Saturday on the occasion of the skill convocation of more than 9 lakh students of the Industrial Training Institute. In his address at the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh of ITI on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Mr. Modi pointed out that the students with their skills are taking their first step on the path of innovation on the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. He said that taking inspiration from Lord Vishwakarma, government has started various skill oriented schemes.<br />'' <br />'' Prime Minister said that the country is once again recognising skills and giving equal emphasis on skill development. He added that around new 5,000 ITIs have been set up in the country in the last years where as in the last 7 decades there were only 10,000 ITIs. He mentioned that more than 4 lakh new seats have also been added in ITIs in the last 8 years. The Prime Minister said that the government has also decided to establish 5000 skill hubs in the country to promote skill development at the school level. The Prime Minister further added that there is a special provision for the recruitment of youth in the army who have taken technical training from ITIs.<br />'' <br />''Mr Modi emphasised that along with skill development, it is equally important for the youth to have soft skills and special emphasis is now being given on it in ITIs. Talking about the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, 'Industry 4.0', the Prime Minister remarked that ITIs will have a big role to play in India's success. He urged the youth to keep reskilling and upskilling and added that students must keep learning new skills and sharing their knowledge.</span><br />
