Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Vijay Goel announced the revamp of National Youth Awards, which are given for outstanding work done for nation building and community service. Addressing media in New Delhi, Mr Goel said the application for the awards has been made online this year. <br/><br/>The Minister said a cash award of 50 thousand rupees each will be given to 25 awardees in individual category. Earlier, this amount was 40 thousand rupees. The Awards are conferred on 12th January. Mr Goel said his Ministry will request the President to honour the winners on 12th of August on the occasion of International Youth Day from this year. <br/>
