Traditionally apples are grown in cold climates like Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However a young farmer Chandrakant Yalis from Baglan taluka of Nasik district of Maharashtra have experimented with apple cultivation in constrain farm land areas of around 0.25 acers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Today his produce is fetching good price in the market.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nasik district is known for its horticulture produces like grapes.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Many farmers here try various experimentation for good quality fruits.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prior to Mr. Yalis many other farmers from the region have applied tried and tested methods to cultivate apples in their farmland.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However those apples yielded with low weight and quality.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Yalis sought guidance from experts from Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He brought 150 seedlings of Harman 99 species from Himachal Pradesh and planted an apple orchard in an area of 0.25 acers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The orchards, which bloomed in January, now bear fruit and weigh about 150 to 200 grams.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This success has encouraged other farmers from the region to follow new technique in Apple cultivation.</span><br />
