China's Xuerui Li beat Saina Nehwal 21-13, 23-21 in quarters clash. Earlier, China's Qing Tian and Yunlei Zhao quelled the Indian challenge of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa 21-10, 21-15 in the women's doubles second round.
