Yogeshwar bags Gold medal in Asian Olympic Qualification tournament

Star Indian grappler Yogeshwar Dutt has bagged a Gold medal in the Asian Olympic Qualification tournament at Astana in Kazakhstan. He finished on the top of the podium yesterday after beating his rival from China, Katai Yeerlanbieke in the 65 kg freestyle category. Even before Yogeshwar clinched the yellow metal, he had qualified for the forthcoming Rio Olympics by virtue of reaching the finals of the competition.The top two finishers in each weight category in this tournament are assured of a Rio berth.Yogeshwar is the second Indian wrestler who has booked a berth for the Rio Games.Earlier, at last year's World Championship in Las Vegas, Narsingh Yadav had bagged a quota place for the country in the 74 kg freestyle category.
