An event celebrating the 7th International Day of Yoga was held at Tokyo Skytree by Yoga Organization of Japan and Tobu Tower Skytree Co. Ltd. in association with the Embassy of India, Tokyo. The Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo. At a height of 634 metres, it is the tallest tower in the world and is one of the most iconic landmarks of Tokyo.<br />''<b>&nbsp;</b><br />''On the occasion, Ambassador of India to Japan, Sanjay Kumar Verma said that in the present critical situation of COVID-19 pandemic, yoga can help self-regulate ourselves during times of stress, He said, yoga also contributes to the growth, development and peace throughout the world. Japanese dignitaries including Hakubun Shimomura, Member of the House of Representatives (LDP) and President of the Parliamentary League for the Promotion of Yoga; Hiroshi Yamada, Member of the House of Councillors (LDP) and Secretary-General of the Parliamentary League for Promotion of Yoga; Yutaka Iwase, Chairman &amp; President of Tobu Tower Skytree Co., Ltd.; and, Motohiro Nozu, Director of the Yoga Organization of Japan and President of Nippon Kabaya Ohayo Holdings.
