Yoga Guru Ramdev today broke his six-day fast at Ambedkar Stadium in the national capital. He was on fast, demanding that the Centre bring back black money stashed abroad and control corruption. Ending the protest, Ramdev headed for his ashram in Haridwar and his supporters also started vacating the stadium. Union Home Secretary R K Singh had said this morning that Ramdev would have to vacate the stadium today.
Yesterday, Ramdev was detained along with his supporters for violating prohibitory orders while marching towards Parliament to press for his demands. After the detention, Ramdev and his supporters were taken to Ambedkar Stadium where they were released by the Police within hours.
