A Yemeni security court on Monday sentenced convicted al-Qaida bombmaker, Saleh al-Shawish to death. The official Saba news agency said, Al-Shawish made no appeal against the verdict as he admitted to be affiliated to the Yemen-based regional wing al- Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.The verdict accused al-Shawish of being a follower of al-Qaida leader Hamza al-Quaity who was killed in clashes with security forces in Tarim city of Hadramout in August 2008. According to the accusation list, al-Shawish is considered to be an expert in making bombs and preparing suicide bombers to use explosive devices.
