Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh has renewed the acceptance of the Gulf Cooperation Council mediation to resolve the crisis in Yemen. In an interview to Russia Today TV, he pointed out that the government will sign a Gulf initiative in order to avoid the bloodshed and end the chaos and protests. He said that GCC initiative must be implemented in whole, according to its terms and priorities. President Saleh added that he would not sign the Gulf initiative if a representative of Qatar attended the meeting of foreign ministers of the GCC. Meanwhile, reports from Yemen say that demonstrations have taken place in capital Saana and several other cities after Friday prayers demanding ouster of the country’s President. Saleh's supporters have also organised rally outside the Presidential palace in Sanaa.
