Yemen foils Qaida suicide bombing attempt

Yemeni security forces have foiled a suicide bombing attempt by a suspected al-Qaida member in the eastern province of Hadramout. <br/><br/>The state-run Saba news agency said Saleh Abdulhabib al-Shawish was arrested in Khalaf district while riding a motorbike with an explosive belt around his body and two explosive charges in his possession. Quoting the interior ministry, the agency said during initial interrogation, the suspect admitted he was preparing to carry out a suicide attack against vital economic facilities. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, in a statement, the Interior Ministry also said security forces have captured an al-Qaida would-be suicide bomber with an explosive belt and two bombs in his possession. It said the arrest took place in Khalaf district of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout.
