The United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR said that tens of thousands of people have been displaced amid the latest escalation of fighting along Yemen's western coastline. <br/><br/>UNHCR spokesman William Spindler said that 34,000 people fled their homes after fierce fighting erupted in the port towns of Mokha and Dhubab on the Red Sea. The majority of the displaced are headed to the outskirts of the war-torn city of Taiz in western Yemen, he said. <br/><br/>Yemen has been in the grip of a civil war since 2014. The war has destroyed much of Yemen's infrastructure and thousands of civilians have been killed.
