The Anticipatory bail plea hearing of former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his family members has been adjourned to May 25. Yeddyurappa, his two sons and son in law are seeking bail in the background of CBI registering a complaint against them in the illegal mining case. When the case came up for hearing before the vacation bench today, the advocates for Yeddyurappa appealed to the Judge to adjourn the case till the regular CBI court commences after the vacation. Judge R S Gowda sought the views of CBI representatives and adjourned the case till next hearing date. CBI had conducted raids yesterday on the residences of Yeddyurappa, his family members and mine owners on the direction of Supreme court. It is alleged that mine owners paid kickbacks to trusts owned by Yeddyurappa’s family members in return for favours.
