Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa met Governor H R Bhardwaj urged him to convene a session of the Assembly. The Governor asked Yeddyurappa to wait for couple of days for his decision on the state cabinet recommendation for convening the assembly session from June two. In a press conference held after his meeting with the Governor, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa elaborated that Governor asked them to wait for his clearance for Assembly session till the response is received from Central Govrnment. Earlier speaking to the media persons on the sidelines of a function, Governor defended his action and declared that he will not resign and would remain in office till his five-year term is over. The formal letter of request for Assembly Session that Yeddyurappa handed over to Bhardwaj yesterday, says that it was essential and appropriate for the state that the full budget be passed at the earliest by the legislature which has approved a vote on account for four months till July 31.
