Yeddyurappa rules out dropping any minister

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today ruled out the question of dropping any of his ministers, a demanded made by the dissidents, but vowed to change his style of functioning. He told this to reporters at his residence on arrival from New Delhi where the BJP evolved an amicable settlement to end the two-week- long stalemate following the revolt in the state unit. Under the compromise worked out between the Chief Minister's camp and that of the dissident Reddy brothers, it was decided that while Yeddyurappa would continue to head the government, a coordination committee will oversee its affairs in the state. Last evening, the leaders of the two factions led by the Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and the Reddy brothers held discussions at the residence of senior BJP leader Ms Sushma Swaraj. She later announced to the waiting journalists outside her residence that the two sides have pledged to work together in the interest of people of Karnataka.
